Watson’s partners gathered in Brussels on November 26-27 to hold our final General Assembly.
With over 40 partner organisations participating, the two-day meeting was both productive and energising, a perfect reflection of the collaborative spirit that has defined Watson from the very beginning!
Reviewing our progress
Over the course of the meeting, partners reviewed the latest developments across all work packages.
From technological innovations for detecting and preventing food fraud, to robust traceability services, insights from consumer surveys, KPIs monitoring and pilot implementations, it was an opportunity to take stock of achievements and identify areas for further focus in the final months.
Each session highlighted the high level of engagement within the consortium. Partners shared updates, exchanged feedback and collectively explored ways to improve outcomes. A testament to the dedication and expertise spread across our diverse network.
Watson’s Participatory & Interactive Workshop
A clear highlight of the Assembly was the Participatory & Interactive Workshop led by our partner Eleni Chatzidimitriou (reframe.food).
During this dynamic session, partners examined the pilot evaluation report, discussing lessons learnt and user acceptance from the different pilots.
The workshop was lively, hands-on and highly interactive. Partners openly shared their experiences and views, creating a space for constructive dialogue that went beyond routine project updates.
It truly captured the collaborative essence of Watson: over 40 organisations working together with trust, mutual support and a shared commitment to advancing food traceability across Europe!
While February 2026 marks the official conclusion of our project, the final months will be decisive in ensuring the sustainability and long-term impact of Watson’s outcomes.
The General Assembly reinforced that the relationships, knowledge and innovations built over the course of Watson are far from the end: they are the foundation for continued collaboration and future initiatives!
