WATSON’s advanced sensors redefine traceability of Norwegian white fish

WATSON

WATSON is taking important steps to ensure a more transparent and traceable food supply chain, focusing on high-value sectors, such as Norwegian white fish.

Our Norwegian partners, Hermes AS and SINTEF Nord, are leading efforts to transform the tracking and tracing of seafood products from the sea to the consumer’s plate.

Revolutionising traceability with sensors

This new phase of the WATSON project incorporates the use of advanced sensor technology to monitor key parameters, such as temperature, humidity and movement patterns during the fish’s journey.

Through real-time updates via mobile networks, these sensors ensure that each stage of transport maintains optimal conditions, ultimately preserving the quality and safety.

Quality assurance from sea to plate

The innovative tools developed under WATSON enable accurate tracking and tracing, ensuring that consumers can have confidence in the path of their products.

Our project not only safeguards quality by improving transparency and traceability, but also increases confidence in the global seafood supply chain.

WATSON

WATSON remains committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to create a more resilient and trustworthy food supply chain.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate for a better future!
