The Synergy Days 2024, held on October 14th-15th at the World Trade Center Barcelona (Spain), brought together key players from the European agri-food sector to foster collaboration and innovation.
Organised by SmartAgriHubs, the conference brought together 40 exhibitors and 400 participants, all committed to driving the sector’s digital transformation.
This event offered a dynamic platform for discussing digital transformation in agriculture, with WATSON showcasing its contributions to food fraud prevention and supply chain transparency.
WATSON’s highlights at Synergy Days 2024
Day 1 – October 14th
The first day of the conference marked an exciting start for WATSON:
- Project pitch: we presented our innovative approach to digitising the agri-food sector, emphasising our efforts in preventing food fraud and enhancing food supply chain transparency.
- Workshop: we hosted the session “Technology, transparency, and trust: Addressing food fraud vulnerability in EU supply chains”, which sparked valuable discussions among industry experts.
Day 2 – October 15th
On the second day, WATSON extended its engagement through a:
- Collaborative workshop: together with the Horizon Europe-funded projects FishEUTrust and THEROS, we co-hosted the workshop “Watson project solutions: Fraud detection and prevention in the fish value chain”.
The session explored innovative methods to enhance the safety and authenticity of fish products.
