In an era where consumers demand greater transparency and safety in the food they eat, innovation alone is not enough: collaboration is key!
That is why the Watson project is proud to be a founding member of the EU Cluster for Food Traceability and Trust: a cross-project initiative that currently brings together 13 Horizon Europe projects working toward the shared goal of building a more trustworthy, transparent and resilient food system for Europe.
United by a common mission
The EU Cluster for Food Traceability and Trust is a collective effort to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in the agri-food sector, from food fraud and safety risks to broken traceability and sustainability gaps across supply chains.
By combining the knowledge, tools and networks of several EU-funded research and innovation projects, the Cluster is creating synergies that allow for greater impact, stronger outreach and faster uptake of results.
Meet the members
The Cluster includes a dynamic group of projects, each bringing unique expertise to the table:
Together, we are advancing digital technologies, scientific tools, and policy recommendations to enhance food traceability from farm to fork (and beyond).
Watson’s role
As a key member of the EU Cluster for Food Traceability and Trust, Watson brings in its multidisciplinary approach to food traceability and fraud prevention, including the development of data-driven services, digital product passports, and early warning systems across multiple agri-food sectors such as wine, honey, olive oil, meat, dairy and white fish.
Our participation in the Cluster allows us to align with like-minded initiatives and amplify the reach and relevance of our work across the European innovation ecosystem.
The EU Cluster for Food Traceability and Trust recently launched its own LinkedIn page, where you can find updates, insights, upcoming events and shared resources from across the participating projects.
