Project partners Smart Agro Hub and Foodscale Hub showcased WATSON at “Beyond Expo”, held in Thessaloniki (Greece) on May 24th-26th, 2023.
This event brought together experts and innovators from various fields to discuss advancements in technology, agriculture and food safety.
The exhibition emphasised agrifood and smart farming, featuring events and discussions as part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Food’s Open Day Greece.
Event highlights
Renowned experts from the WATSON project led various presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, engaging in stimulating discussions about food safety, sharing WATSON’s vision and solutions with attendees.
These sessions provided deep insights into our project’s innovative approaches and technologies aimed at enhancing transparency and integrity in food supply chains.
In addition, Thanos Karvounis, Innovation Grant Application Expert at Smart Agro Hub, presented the WATSON project during the “Unlocking Horizon Europe” seminar. This session highlighted the project’s goals, methodologies and its contributions to food safety and fraud prevention within the European Union.
Beyond Expo 2023 provided a valuable platform for WATSON to showcase its research and solutions in food safety. The event facilitated meaningful interactions with industry experts and stakeholders, furthering the project’s mission to enhance transparency and combat food fraud.
