WATSON attends the “54th Agriumbria” fair

During the celebration of “54th Agriumbria”, the largest fair focused on agriculture, livestock and food in Italy, WATSON partners BioCoS, IBBR-CNR, APROL UMBRIA and MITERA GbmH introduced and demonstrated the traceability of olive oil.

Agriumbria has become a reference point in the agricultural-livestock panorama, emphasising innovation, future challenges and critical issues faced by the sector. This event took place from March 31st to April 2nd, 2023, in Perugia (Italy) and it attracted more than 80,000 visitors over three days, offering a vibrant mix of exhibitions, auctions and competitions.

WATSON’s olive oil use case

At the Agriumbria fair, WATSON partners showcased the project’s olive oil use case study. They demonstrated innovative traceability solutions to a diverse audience, including olive cultivators, extra virgin olive oil producers, retailers and consumers. The presentation highlighted how WATSON’s technologies can enhance transparency and integrity within the olive oil supply chain.



Agriumbria 2023 was a significant platform for WATSON to showcase its advancements in food traceability, particularly within the olive oil sector. The event facilitated valuable interactions with industry stakeholders, furthering the project’s goals of enhancing supply chain transparency and combating food fraud.
