We are excited to share some highlights from our recent activities:
- Visit to Umbria: the Mitera GmbH team from Crete visited their colleagues in Umbria, where they were joined by Aprol Umbria and Raio farmers. This visit fostered stronger ties and provided valuable insights into regional agricultural practices.
- Partners’ meeting in Crete: a productive meeting was held in Crete, bringing together three key partners of the WATSON project: Mitera GmbH, CNR and Aprol Umbria. Collaborating with these exceptional teams has significantly enriched our approach, enabling us to develop more impactful solutions.
- Italian extra virgin olive oil tasting in Italy: the Cretan team received expert lessons on tasting Italian extra virgin olive oil. These sessions focused on identifying high-quality oils and recognising the negative attributes in lower-quality products. Through the WATSON project, Mitera GmbH is committed to elevating consumer safety by tracing the production chain and certifying products with DNA verification.
These experiences have not only strengthened our partnership, but also advanced WATSON’s mission to ensure the highest standards in food quality and safety!
